Statehouse is source-available proprietary software.
This software is free to use, including in production, under the terms below. It is not open source.
Permitted Use
You may:
- Use Statehouse for any purpose, including commercial and production use
- Run Statehouse in development, testing, and production environments
- Inspect and modify the source code for your own use
Restrictions
You may not:
- Redistribute Statehouse or modified versions of it
- Offer Statehouse as a managed or hosted service
- Sell, sublicense, or commercially distribute Statehouse
- Remove or alter licensing or copyright notices
Paid Editions
Additional commercial editions (e.g. Pro, Enterprise) may be offered in the future. These editions may include additional features, services, or support.
The existence of paid editions does not restrict use of the free version.

Statehouse is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement.

No Trademark Rights
This license does not grant rights to the Statehouse name, logo, or branding.
Why This License?
Statehouse uses a source-available license because:
- Free for users: You can use it in production without paying
- Protection from competition: Prevents others from offering Statehouse as a service
- Sustainable development: Enables future commercial editions to fund development
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use Statehouse in my commercial product?
Yes. You can use Statehouse to build and sell your own products. You just cannot redistribute Statehouse itself.
Can I modify Statehouse for my needs?
Yes, for your own use. You cannot distribute modified versions.
